why are subject lines so hard to think of?

Tomorrow I'm going to see Watchmen again. No, I'm not obsessed. Not at all. O:)

I'm a little disappointed that the get-together with fellow Watchmen fans in Ohio is apparently not going to happen, because I haven't heard back from them. But, that's okay. I like watching movies by myself anyway ( Read more... )

Ooh, do you have any fanfic recs? *shameless begging*

I would pretty much recommend anything in my Watchmen memories. :D

I'm not sure if our tastes would match up, but I absolutely loved these fics:

how the ghost of you clings by orangesparks
It's Walter/Laurie. I totally thought that this would be impossible, but I loved it.

My Body is a Cage ( part two here) by conceptofzero
I blame this fic completely for my newfound genderswap love. Rorschach is a girl, but she is still very in character, and it's really interesting to read.

Wonderful Monster by burnedtoasty
Captain Carnage meets Rorschach.

Bath Time by technophile (the person who runs fandomsecrets!)
An actually funny humor story where Rorschach is forced to take a bath.

Compromise by mustinvestigate
Comedian/Rorschach slash. At first I thought - damn, this is going to be the most cracked of cracked fic, but it really wasn't. I love how the author writes the Comedian. I've read this probably ten times through. XD

Those were awesome recs, thank you! I particularly liked Rorschach as a girl even though I'm not usually a fan of genderswap--it's difficult to find the concept well-written in some fandoms--but Rorschach was still completely Rorschach.

And I LOVE the fact that you put Gen/het/slash in your memories list. It makes it so much easier to find things.

As far as my fanfic tastes, I will read just about anything as long as it is well-written and has proper warnings if there's something triggery (Though I am eyeing that Ozymandias/Squid fic with trepidation--there's enough tentacle sex in anime already. *laughs*)

I'm glad that you liked them! :D I LOVE the Girlschach fic. I kind of scoffed at it when I read the description, but as soon as I read the first few lines of the story, I was totally hooked.

Heh, what can I say, I'm organized to the point of OCD levels. XD I figure if I'm in a mood for a particular type of fic, the labels will sure help out instead of having to sift through every story.

Hahaha, the Ozy/Squid fic is hilarious. I'd never read tentacle sex before, although I've seen those Japanese women/octopi pictures before, so...it was amusing. XD

I am sooo jealous. I really think I'm only going to get the one Watchmen viewing *sigh*

Yay writing! Though I have the opposite problem...when I saw some of the amazing stuff in Sirius/Remus land I was like "I am unworthy of writing* and wanted to hide for a month.

Aww. *pets*

If I wasn't crazy, I would have only seen Watchmen twice, since it left town pretty quickly. I've driven to Columbus (ONLY EIGHTY MINUTES AWAY ONE WAY) to see it all of the other times. WHY YES, I AM MAD.

I felt the same way when I started reading some amazing fic. I thought that there was no way that I could write for this fandom ever. And then, I don't know, I just started with little baby steps. :D

Am I the only one who finds the Reese eggs/trees/hearts totally sub-par? The chocolate-peanut butter ratio is all wrong, and the chocolate gets too soft and melty without the crinkly circle shape.

And I'm never going to get to read another Das chapter am I? :(

Yes, you are the only one! ;)

I love all of the peanut butter. For some odd reason, I can't stand regular Reese cups, because there isn't enough peanut butter for me.

I like scraping all of the chocolate off, eating it, and then savoring the peanut butter. XD

I really don't know. :( It's not going to be any time in the near future, that's for sure. My Phantom love has kind of been misplaced. :\

How sad is it that I'm only remotely tempted to buy the CD? :(

And christ alive, he not only sings MotN on it, but also Bui Doi and Stars. And Goodbye My Lover (but that might be for the lulz). AND I'M STILL ONLY REMOTELY TEMPTED TO BUY IT? WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? :(

Your icon is perfect!

Oh man, I lucked out today. My dad bought several homemade peanut butter eggs at work, and he gave me a couple since I fixed his computer for him (again...). FREE CANDY IS AMAZING.
