Yun Zhong Ge Chapter 34: Your Heart My Heart

Jun 26, 2012 01:20

Koala has already translated Chapter 33, so here's 34.

I was reminded of something I read on my friend's facebook recently: Should we forgive someone if they didn't mean any
harm?

Liu Fu Ling told one harmless lie, not knowing it would lead to a lifetime of pain for Yun Ge. Later on, he was thinking that if only he didn't met Yun Ge, she would have ( Read more... )

I'm getting mad.. anonymous June 26 2012, 06:24:30 UTC
Does anyone out there feel the same way as I do? I'm getting angry at YG and LFL. YG: I think she should have left the palace as soon as she found out that LFL was married and LFL shouldn't have encouraged her otherwise. MJ was totally right here, LFL can't protect himself let alone YG. LFL: As he was fated to become the emperor he should have just let go of YG and stay true to the empress. Perhaps together they could have become a powerful royal couple. Bringing in LX and LH was a mistake. LX became power hungry and vengeful and LH was just too weak to be an emperor. LFL should have just stayed put, have kids and trained his kids properly to ascend the throne after him. What do you think, guys? Anyway, my plots would have produced a totally different novel then...

Your viewpoint is definitely valid. The whole situation is exasperating and Xiao Mei is also a victim. I feel sad that she is in the bloom of first love and it is a lie. However, having said that, I continue to be entranced by the magic that exists between YG and LFL that started ever since they met in the desert. So, their plan to escape is truly a brave attempt to break free of the shackles of the conventions that tie them down. It would be great to be able to re-write the story so that everyone would end up a winner but I think TH already did that once in DMY (and even then, dear JY ended up sacrificing for the two main leads).

Thanks for the translation, Sparkskey! Hope you're feeling better! Darcy

I felt like LFL was never made out to be an emperor. As the novel has indicated, he has the intelligent and heart to be one, but not the ruthlessness. Huo Guang had intended to use LFL as a puppet, and LFL is too weak against him. Why do you think LX was kept alive? I was curious ever since the second chapter, where it hinted that Huo Guang might have a hand in helping LBY from getting killed. My theory is that Huo Guang was ready to get rid of LFL anytime LFL become hard to control. LBY was his back-up all along. LFL bringing LBY in just sped up Huo Guang's plan. Either way, I feel that LFL was doom either way. Like Koala mentioned before, YunGe is not the cause, she is the catalyst for eveything to set in motion. Whether she was in the picture or not, things would eventually turn out bad for LFL. Think about it, if Yunge was not there, MJ would have married HCJ. LFL might have consummated his Xiao Mei or he might not. But it was hinted earlier that LFL's refusal to consummate is out of loyalty for Yunge but it also to keep himself ( ... )

Thanks for your observations. I must say that I never considered the possibilities you outlined above. It is definitely a curse to have been born into the royal family. The irony is that the man thought to wield the greatest power is in fact only a pawn and cannot even choose his mate.

Why don't you? anonymous June 26 2012, 10:37:39 UTC
Dear Sparkskey,
I follow your translation. I find that you capture the beauty in TH's writing amazingly well. Less able writer/translator will produce 'wooden' translation. But, you, Dear Sparkskey, I believe polish the already well-written story till it bleed readers hearts (mine is one of them)
So, I am thinking, why don't you write you your own novel? I would love to read it.
What do you think, faitfull readers of this amazing live journal?

Aww that's so sweet. Trust me, this translation doesn't come as easily as I hoped it would. I read a lot of other books, analyzing sentence structures to figure out how to best present this novel. I lack the the creative juices to actually write my own novel I think, so for now I'm content to just read others' amazing work and translate it for all you amazing people out there (:

After read this chapter and read yours, I realize one thing, people who not confident can make lifetime scar to anybody around us. When LFL feel not confident that he can make YG happy so he did it, same for MG to YG and YG to XM. Just for sharing my personal story I ever hurt someone so badly because I think I'm not suitable for him and his rich family, but I late to realize that he ready to leave his family just for me, I don't know how he feel now, but what I done make me regret and even 10 year now can't make me forget what I done to him so like you said why we judge others for what they did! I do love this novel and thank for your time and hard work. Take care sparkskey, be fit and healthy.
