Brothers are pants. At least your brother seems to worry that he's doing craply! But yes, he does sound like a brat. One f the upsides of moving out will not having to contend with Robin and his tantrums and dissatisfaction with life. Yes, you have ponies but it's something you and your sister andyour mum are passionate about! It's not like only one of you gets them and the others are denied or like he really wants one and isn't allowed! He has about five other hobbies and i'm sure if you added up the cost of kit, equipment, lessons and tranport to and fro it would still add up to the same as you guys! Anyway, rant over :D Am tres sympathetic though hun x
And Martin Freeman! Get off your high horse! If it wasn't for the Office he wouldn't have the amazing roles he has since! And going on about being seen as an 'everyman'. Dude, people would kill for your job! Yes. I am finised now ;)

George is starting to worry a bit about how behind he is, but he still seems to think that he'll get through everything okay without doing the work. Hm.

From what you said the other day, Robin sounds like George! Ah, the peace and quiet of moving out... ^^

That's exactly what I thought about Martin: and he just seems to have this thing against comedians exploring their range. I mean... what? I'll never understand people :p

I love Tim Burton but I bought Beetlejuice a few months ago and when I watched it I thought, "wuh?"
You're right, it's pretty.. shit, really. I was disappointed!

Ed Wood's good though. :) And Sleepy Hollow is fantastic. I take it you're doing your study on Tim Burton? Edward Scissorhands is the best one...

Yeah, exactly. I first say it when I was eleven or twelve and I loved it, but now it's like... 'er... okay.'

I'm glad Ed Wood is good... (hah hah, that made me laugh ^^ 'kay, I'm sad), and I love Sleepy Hollow. And yeah, Tim Burton is my auteur :)

Edward Scissorhands is the definitive Burton, imo.

Really, you got given people? We got to choose. Weird.

Peter Weir? Man, that sucks. I'd rather do someone I liked! Least it turned out okay.

Loving Ed Wood so far :D

That's the sort of logic that evades George, but there we go. I think it's the materialism coming through.

Hah, that car sounds brilliant... sounds like you got off lucky, then.

I certainly think that Martin is getting typecast and I respect him completely for sticking with British cinema-- I mean, for actors to do that over here is unusual and commendable-- but still, like you said, he always seems pissed off! Even more so in that article you linked to. But I think I'm biased in my judgement :p

sisters and brothers can be pratts, but on the other hand, i can see where he's coming from (from you talking about ponies and the car). maybe he feels like nobody is really interested in him? I know my sister has always had a high attention threshold, and if she doesn't get it, she throws a strop. But who knows, siblings are one of those unsolved enigmas. 99.9% of the time they aren't being spiteful though, but see themselves as the victim etc. etc. (it sounds like he's just terribly jealous)

I can see where George is coming from too, it's just incredibly frustrating that he's taking it out on me and being so unpleasant in general because he's jealous.

The thing is, he gets attention. He's just majorly pissy right now because my parents are refusing to give him attention for how badly he's doing in school-- that has been going on for years, and they're sick of it. So now he's getting no attention as far as that goes whatsoever, and I don't think he likes that.

Ponies-- they are an expensive hobby, definitely. I don't think I or Hope deserve the amount of time and money Mum puts into letting us do this. But if you added up the money spent on George's hobbies? Odds on they're not much different. And of course, in his eyes this does boil down to money ( ... )
