The Boy has a subscription to Shonen Jump at Dragon's Lair. The issues often go through two or three kids before we take them to Half Price but you are more than welcome to them if you want to follow a series (somewhat delayed) or if your school would like back issues.
I don't think there's a big demand for Shonen Jump at my high school... alas! I got so far behind on Naruto that it's not even funny, and they dropped Hikaru no Go from the magazine, so the only thing left that I read is Bleach. Bleach I will buy in tankobon. :)
I was just in Half Price looking for back issues of Yen Plus and Shojo Beat, to fill in some gaps. They had tons and tons of japanese-language manga magazines, which don't do me any good. Yet... :)
The Boy's main motivation for studying Japanese next year is to read Japanese language manga. Or was it to play Japan-only Nintendo releases? Either way it makes perfect sense to his 12 y.o. brain!
Maybe all grades should do a month long project and be busy elsewhere after TAKS. Our other popular alternative today was to go to either half days or four day weeks in the spring until the end of school. I'm good with any of the three! :)
