So, news! I had an appointment with Dr. Famula in the month before I left for Costa Rica, and we had agreed to wait to do anything until after I came back. Didn't want to risk anything in a foreign country (though Costa Rica does have good health care); besides, my parents would definitely be more comfortable this way. I returned from CR 30 August
