Oh, Dean. So much of what he's done he has shoved down so far inside and Purgatory would drag it all out, for sure.
I love these little scenes from Purgatory, from Benny's pov, and hate them, too.

This should totally happen on show - except maybe they don't have the time or the budget (or it would be too Dean-focused and - God forbid - actually gave him more storyline).
I've never understood how they've neglected to give us more of Dean's post-hell/post-torturer headspace. Because it must be there for him. All the bleeding time. I mean, you don't shake something like what happened to him just like that. Not even with alcohol and drugs.
So, thank you for filling this gap. You are so much better than the writers, and even a tie-in novel couldn't be as genuine as what you've written.

ETA: Oh, almost forgot - I love the way you have Benny know all about the Righteous Man and realize that it's actually Dean and being absolutely in awe about it!
