I absolutely love your tutorial! Since I have been trying to figure out how to do resin jewelry NO ONE including forums, blogs, sellers could explain to me or take the time out to help me figure out certain points I was stuck at. I needed to figure out how to do resin with glitter and YEA! now with your tutorial I know how to accomplish that! Thank you very much. One question though. How do you do lines of glitter? There's a pic on my blog if you want to check it out! Thanks!

You probably need to create some kind of divider and pour it one section at a time. Resin, will accept pretty much anything you put in it. I read your blog, and no you don't need to modpodge anything plastic. Resin is just plastic in liquid form until it catalyzes, then its hard plastic. The only thing you do need to do however, with anything that's paper like regular stickers, is cover them with packing tape and make sure they're really well sealed on both sides. Otherwise the resin will ruin it. Also, make sure you're resin is fairly tacky before you start putting your items in it. Otherwise they'll sink, and that sucks. I hope that helps. If you have more questions, just ask...

Hi thanks for responding. So this is one piece I did a couple of days ago

I did this way before I read your tutorial. I mixed my resin 1oz to 1oz ratio. In this mold I added my stickers right on top of the liquid without any modpodge. I like the way it came out. Now I let it get tacky and then added my glitter. Then I mixed 1tbs to 1tbs (just for this mold) and added it on top of the glitter. I let the whole thing cure.

At this point I now know why the glitter is in the bottom and why I still have clear resin showing through. But when I finally popped it out my first layer is nice and hard but my back layer is not and even flexible. Would it be because I didn't mix my resin well? Sorry If I'm rambling too much on your comment section if you like you can email me if you like..

You have to mix everything really well, and repour it into a second container and keep mixing until its clear before you can add anything...If you do not do this step, it will be sticky and not cure...

Apparently i am so challenged with technology I never even posted the first message. Let me try this again.

My brother has a walking stick he found while playing disc golf, his daughter calls it his "pretty stick" LOL I do carpentry but haven't worked much with resin. It's a gnarly stick and hes wanting me to fill it in with Resin, I was thinking of adding glow in the dark powder to the resin. Any suggestions? There's only one "Pretty Stick" and I dont want to screw it up.

TIA
