The stars were beautiful, even if they weren't in the same positions he was used to. He was slowly getting to know them again. Frey was laying on his back on top of his sleeping bag as well; it was warm enough that it almost reminded him of Falena.
Frey looked over at Shoon when the other man moved, impressed by his ability to crack his back so easily. He offered the blonde a shy smile and a nod. "It's almost like home." It was dark enough he couldn't see his friend flush, nor would he have understood why if he had.
"Oh... I promised mother I would be home by my birthday." It was his turn to blush. "August 27th..."
Shoon frowned at the mention of home, but didn't say anything. Falena wasn't his home anymore, not really, Budehuc felt more like home than Falena ever did
( ... )
Frey nodded toward his friend, definitely shy. His birthday had only ever been celebrated by those closest to him. "Oh good..." He replied with a smile.
"Eighteen..." The past year was a blur, it was strange to think he'd be a whole year older than he had been. Part of him wondered what he'd be doing if he was home right now, but the thought was pointless. "Oh agreed... it's still strange to think that Lym is older than I am right now." He'd probably never told Shoon how old he was.
"Eighteen, huh?" Shoon gave him a smile, "Means you're almost a grown-up." He looked back up at the sky.
"I try not think about that, really. It makes my head hurt. I keep trying to imagine my self at fifty, which is about the age I should be, but I can't imagine it at all." He smiled, "Can you imagine me at fifty?"
