Might be an idea to stay with your parents if they have the room for you both. Because now even if your house isn't at flood risk, there will be no water and maybe no elecricity - and I'd hazard a guess at your clients either being closed from water or because of other people having been flooded etc, then there's the threat to the electricity - if they can't turn on their PCs... Hope you're ok over there.

it will be a run to mansfield to stay with the parents for a bit

and possibly drop off the dog
