OSU question munchkin1616 March 27 2008, 14:51:51 UTC
anything in the 14th and 4th or 15th and 4th area is where fraternities are, so assume there will be partying often and little/no parking.

south campus is safer on the east side (think Chittenden, e. 12th, e. 13th) but the whole area is going to have students so there may/may not be partying, depending on your specific neighbors.

Clintonville is furthest away (probably not within walking distance of campus) so less students, but less interaction with peers as well.

if you go to osu.edu and search for off-campus student services, there is a link there to a "report card" of sorts that students complete on their landlords which may also be helpful when considering how well kept the apartments will be.

hope this helps!

Thanks! I'm definitely going to avoid the frat area. Disappointing too because the guy showing me those apartments is really nice and the apartments themselves sound like a better deal than the others I've found to view. Also, don't you frequent the applyingtograd community? I think I know you from there. Also, I am going to graduate school at OSU, if that makes a difference in regards to the areas I'm looking to move to. Thanks again!

I don't post in that comm but wanted to let you know... you can only park a car without tags/plates on private property (such as your own driveway in a home you or someone who gives you permission owns). If it's anywhere on public property or property intended for the public (which means any public street or a store's parking lot), it will be ticketed and towed and then you can't get it out from impound until you present your proper tags and pay the ticket and tow fees.

And yes, you'll definitely get caught, people always do.

sorry for not having better news, but I figure better you have the knowledge than to not know and learn the hard way!
