I don't care about gardening. The plants are wilting. W'ever.

I don't care about baking. Too much bother. Let me repeat. Baking is too much bother.

I don't care about beer. It all tastes the same. Partly because it is all the same, because I've been drinking the same ( Read more... )

Sorry you are Meh.

OMG, Those Ten Minutes. Yes. YES. My husband has not read the books, and so he has been pestering me since last week about how she could possibly do that and how that was even an option, and was this HBO being HBO or did that happen in the books that way, and if it DID happen in the books, how had I not walked away in rage... and it was ALL I could to do not yell "WAIT FOR IT!"

And then it was so brilliant. So beautiful and stunning and glorious in substance and image.

I haven't read the books, but I thought that's what she would do. After last week, I thought, "Once she has the army, what's to prevent her from telling them to kill all the bad guys and take back her dragon?" Turns out NOTHING keeps her from it at all!

I'm enjoying Vikings, which I personally find a mixture of hits and misses. The latest episode was a very odd mix of historical research and pretty lurid fantasy and yet somehow--it worked. I do wonder what people in Scandinavia will think if it ever airs there. I'm not sure how much of a sense of humor they have about their own history, even when you're talking about a period where there are all kinds of massive gaps in making the literary sources and the archaeological material even remotely "talk" to one another.

I could definitely see you as Floki. lol!
