always check for the ring.

So I keep seeing this girl around the company that has caught my eye. (not that lindsay chick with the bad teeth) She's kinda short but has a beautiful face, hair, (pinky toes) and everything. I've held the front door open for her a few times, but not real introduction. The other day i see her walking from her car (same as I am) at the end of our ( Read more... )

Mr. Spiderpatch: How can you diss the elderly Indian gent? Holding a door for a lady hardly has any age limitation. Good manners are never age specific.

I'm sorry you didn't make any headway with the young lady. Your "picture of a plant" joke would've wooed me well enough. Don't let a minor setback set you back. You've got what it takes to keep a girl laughing and that's the most important thing.

True bodhi, but while good manners are never age specific, hitting on a young pretty girl carrying a young pretty plant is. Now maybe, with his bad vision, he thought the girl was an old lady and the plant was her old-fangled hair style? Thats a possiblity. lol a big tall green hairstyle, that's a poss...ok thats not a possiblity. I dont know, he's had his chance with this, let me be polite for once.

Yeah, that's the weirdest. some of my girl friends have mentioned that they always check the ring finger when they meet a guy and I thought it was so weird. I almost feel like that makes you seem needy -- "please be single, no ring, no ring" ... But I've met a ton of young guys here and very few of them are single (hell, most of them are 30, but they all look the same to me...i miss college). it's just something you gotta know. So I guess i'm one of those "check-the-finger" girls now. creepy.

But Dia, you forget....guys don't wear engagement rings.

AND in atlanta, men like to "forget" their rings at home sometimes.

'ello. I don't know you, but I thoroughly enjoyed this post and responses. Especially the first response and ugly people comments.
