Just a quick update: After 3 months of chaos and children at work, I'm finally settling into the winter season of curriculum planning. Brendan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary last week! I'm coming home for Thanksgiving, but not for x-mas, and would like to see as many portland friends as possible.

Thanks, Emma! You guys are an awesome couple too! Where are you these days? I can't believe that I don't even know...not in Texas, I assume?

Wrong! We're still in Texas (I know, I can't believe it either.) Karen is teaching--Texas History, of all things--and I'm the Assessment Coordinator for the district. We work together, at a TFA-founded charter school. It's a very awesome place to work...and Texas isn't all bad. At least the beach is close! :)

Yeah, Indiana has no ocean, unfortunately. Some kids who come to camp haven't even seen hills before, let alone walk up them. Are either of you coming up to new england for xmas? B and I will be in RI and on the Cape for a week.
