Yiii! Let us communicate ultrasonically!

Now that I'm at home (with much better speakers) I can hear 19 pretty clearly XD

Man, the 15.8 is just killing me. It's not so much hearing it but more like an instant headache (that stops when the sample ends).

I'll have to check the higher ones once I'm at home so I can hook up decent headphones.

And in checking around.. youngwilliam July 13 2006, 23:03:22 UTC
A condition called presbycusis, or ageing ear, means that by the time most people reach the age of 25, they cannot hear much above a frequency of 13 or 14 kilohertz.

Compound Security's 17 kilohertz version of the ringtone went on sale on Friday in the UK for £3 and so far about 1,000 people have bought it.

So I'm already beating the odds with the 15.8 kHz. Not sure if I'll hit the mark of 17 though.

Yeah, weirdly, I can hear them ALL, including the highest pitched "empty" one - so I have to assume it's the speakers, or something. Maybe I'll try again on a different computer.
