I got Dear Esther as part of the latest Humble Indie Bundle, and I "played" through it today. Major impression: goddamn it's pretty. Have some screenshots.

You know how when you look at something that's not in focus, it's blurry? There's lost information there -- you can't resolve things very well when they're not in focus. But there are ways to correct for that. If you know how your sample blurs, then you can look at a blurred image and do a pretty good job of reconstructing what the nonblurred image ( Read more... )

A friend of mine recently started a business making portable standing desks. Not much good to me since at home I use my desktop computer, and at work there's nowhere for me to clip onto, but it was sufficient motivation for me to get off my butt and make my own.
