In the past, President Obama has been adamant that he won’t use executive action on immigration reform. To cite just one example, he said in 2010 in an Univision interview:

I am president, I am not king. I can’t do these things just by myself. We have a system of government that requires the Congress to work with the Executive Branch to make it ( Read more... )

Republicans are now in control of the House and the Senate, so where is all that "action" everyone said was going to happen when the GOP regained control? It's shocking enough that a man that can't even produce a legal birth certificate was given the highest office in this country, but when he follows through with edicts worthy of a dictator/emperor, it's sad that merely the sound of crickets is heard in Washington, DC.

They won't be in control of the House and Senate until starting next year. But I agree, I have been wondering if there is even a single set of testicles or even part of a spine in the Republican leadership.

On the other hand, this might be a sign that there is actually is an opposition party: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/22/us/politics/obamacare-lawsuit-filed-by-republicans.html?emc=edit_na_20141121&nlid=53838635&_r=0

Don't you just love it when a liberal opens their mouth and pure ignorance comes out?

Does it not occur to them that the move was so unpopular that he would not do it before the election on the off chance that Democrats would retain power in the Senate?

And now that Democrats are going to lose that power come January he decided to issue it NOW so he can blame Republicans for inaction, when it is Democrats in the Senate that are blocking action?

Oh, he can talk all he likes about the Senate bill that was passed with primarily Democrat votes (few Republicans supported it) but what he is really saying with that is that Republicans should simply give up and go along.

Well, now that it is clear that they won't give up and go along he claims he can't wait any more.

Someone cue the music: o/` Oh I just can't wait to be king! o/`
