We talked about this in class today! I mentioned that I had a friend in the UK doing vet work, and had a pretty spirited debate about what FMD would do to the US if we got it.

Hope things don't get too yicky out there...

Remember when Oprah got in trouble for wondering what BSE would do to US beef?! Yeah it fucks everything up, and it just spreads so fast if not caught fast.

They are lifting the transport ban soon for any farm over 10 km from the infected farms, so things are getting back on track.
