I'm sorry for your loss. She was lucky to have a vet-mom like you. Sounded like she held out for just the right time, when she could die in your arms. She was a good dog. And the thing that she was protecting her humans from: Lack of canine companionship.

that is very true, Cipperly thinks that Horatio told Annie that it is okay to pass on the torch and he would watch over cipperly. Heidikat is just a bit to ditzy to watch over anyone.

i'm so sorry for your loss! very unfortunate timing as well. but i agree, it sounds like she died happy, and all we can ask for in the end, isn't it?
