Yay, marine layer!

We're having a long stretch of unseasonably cool weather in the Bay Area, 9-12 degrees below normal this week and into next. I'm enjoying it, but I believe I'm in the minority.

I like a colder room for sleeping, so that I may burrow to my heart's content.

Finally went to your mechanic. Good experience. My last mechanic had been getting shoddier and more expensive for the work done. They stopped honoring the free lifetime oil changes, so I had no problem going elsewhere.

If I was there, I'd be enjoying it. I've been happy that it's overcast here in the mornings in Mehama, Oregon, and not enjoying the warm afternoons, even though it's not that hot by the standards of where I grew up in California's central valley.

Oh, me too.

The restaurant we're going to this weekend, that doesn't take reservations but has a lot of outdoor tables, says that as long as this weather holds up, there shouldn't be any trouble getting seated quickly.

You should be here already then if you like the cool weather. The forecast is -3C every night till Tuesday. Which makes walking home from the bus after work late at night quite a bracing experience.

How much is "unseasonably cool"? "9-12 degrees below normal" isn't informative without a normal to begin with.
