*hugs* This is pretty much a ditto of what everyone else said, but I say "the more support, the merrier". There's nothing wrong with your writing, Jo, and I hope that you don't quit just because you got backlash from trying to help a friend in a sticky situation. If you wanna take a break, I completely understand that (I'm not a writer, so I couldn't possibly know all that you're feeling right now). But take this as my personal plea for you to not give up. The fanfiction world would be missing one of it's actually good authors, and they're already so rare we can't afford to lose any ;) But just...if you're getting shot down just because you wanted to help out a friend when it seemed that no one else would, then you're being bashed because you have a good heart and that's just wrong in so many ways. You don't deserve to be criticized when you were just trying to be fair and see the issue from both angles.

I won;t give up completely, it has taken a day of thinking hard and talking to friends but i realise now that the people who matter are the people right here. My friends, who know and believe that i was only trying to do what was right for everyone, and that means more than anything.

I will take a hiatus for a few weeks, concentrate on getting my thoughts sorted and on uni and i'll come back, i'll post again and i'll be back and more crazy than ever. If you can imagine that. One thing i won;t miss out on tho is those BLO chats, those are a neccessity. Don;t care how long i'm off lj for, i'll be there for those, hehe.

I was worried when I saw your name pop up. I can't believe this thing got so ugly. Darla doesn't know me personally but she has reviewed for me a few times and I remember some problems you had with her in the past. You were great at defending her and I think that takes more guts than blasting her. Think the entire situation turned very bad and that you deserve many sorrys. Don't stay away too long but I would do the same in your situtation.

Thank you, yeah it hurt to be dragged into it, but as her friend i wanted to believe she was telling the truth, but i can't really call her a friend now. She knew i was being given crap about it and she let it happen. She didn;t defend me. And with all the previous problems well...

I won;t stay away too long, i have had some great help form my lj friends today and you guys are the ones that matter. You trust in what i say and don't blame me for all of this and that means a lot.

I'm gonna take a hiatus for a few weeks, i have a lot of uni work on too so it will be a good thing for that too, but now i know that i did nothing wrong, and the people who matter know that. I will keep writing, i will start posting again when i'm ready. And i'll come back soon.
