The end is nearing. I never meant for this to be so long. I was only going to do a few parts because I didn't feel confident enough to try a full-fledged multi-chapter story after my posting crash. Having three WIPs now is freaking me out. So BB will be closing up shop soon

Sometimes I just can't judge whether what I'm writing is decent or utter crap. I had a very hard to with the fight sequence. But if it worked for you, I'm pleased as punch. You keep me going when I'm ready to give up and it means the world to me.

Thank you for managing to update so quickly, hardly any pacing on my part at all and what a chapter! I don't think I breathed throughout the description of the fight.

And I just loved Spike's thoughts at the end of the chapter. How fatalistic he seems, almost Oriental. As ever the description of the jungle, the sounds and the river, well, my feet are wet and I can hear everything. Another triumph. I wait for your next update with eager anticipation. This story has been a winner.
