Spirit House Chapter 2 Revised

The next chapter of Spirit House steps up to the plate. :D Don't mind me. I just got home from work, and I'm exhausted and feeling a bit silly. I wanted to put this up before I answer this afternoon's feedback, just in case I fall asleep sitting up. I hate to promise something and not come through. Friday morning will be the new chapter.

Where else, but in fanfic, can you see a footnote on the usuage of the f-word? :)

Liam's going a bit barmy, it would appear. Will has a way of doing that to him!

Isn't fanfic amazing! You learn all sorts of things. I had to go research the f-word. I didn't want the characters to say something inappropriate for the time period. :D

Will is definitely going to be teasing and generally driving Liam nuts. Poor dear.

That was wonderful. William berating Liam for having trouble believing that William could exist outside of the painting made me laugh. It was so Spike.

This was another richly detailed, vivid chapter. Liam's role in keeping Will tethered to his reality is fascinating, and I love that Will is able to take the same role while Liam sleeps. Liam's foray into Will's brutal world was beautifully realized and the fight was vividly violent. When Liam awoke, I was expecting him to be covered in blood not drooling onto his sketchbook.

You're doing an excellent job building the erotic tension between these two men. There was a real sense of danger in Liam's trip to the battlefield which enhanced their heated encounter. Now that Liam is actively trying to pull Will out of the painting, I'm left wondering why it isn't working. I can't wait to find out.

I'm so glad you're enjoyed the dreams. They were the best way I could think of to work those parts of the story into the larger frame. The question is, are they really dreams or are they memories?

I love playing with UST, and with these two, it's easy. They always want each other, whether it's on a battlefield or in the precincts of Liam's bed. :D

The reveal for why Liam couldn't pull Will from the painting is in the next chapter. Hope you like it, hon. And thanks so much for sticking with me.
