After a lot of phone calls and crossed wires and everything else that the military is famous for, we were able to put Dad's (TBG's) ashes to rest at the Dixon Military Cemetery. It's a lovely place right outside of Vacaville, about an hour's drive from Stockon ( Read more... )

It's just because the military kept screwing up. We were an hour away from leaving the last time they called and said it was canceled. It's been a regular SNAFU.

I'm glad all the hectic details got worked out, and you finally got to have the ceremony you wanted. Hope the next few months ahead are way less stressful, so you can have time to heal and recover from all that.

Thank you. TBG just wanted to make sure that his dad was properly done and that it didn't fall to one of our executors to do it. Things will be back to normal quickly, now, thanks to the holidays being here.
