But I don't *want* my vacation to be over...

Sep 04, 2007 18:38

Hi all! I'm home form NYC, safe and sound, and totally unexcited about going back to work tomorrow. I had such a *amazing* time, and all I wanted to do was stay there forever. In fact, I'm revisiting the idea of moving there and becoming a nanny... I just love the city so much, and have long dreamed of living there. I'm starting to think it ( Read more... )

Wow. *blinks* You're actually thinking of moving to NY?! Wow.

I wonder if they have Longs there?

You'll be living your own Sex and the City. *lol* Course, you'll have one teeny tiny apartment, but if you're happy where you are, lots of things can be dealt with. Wishing you all the luck researching.

Yeah, I'm thinking about it. If I do it, it will be as a nanny, so I wont have to worry about a place to live. I figure I could do that for a year, and by then have enough connections to find roommates and a job. I'm just tired of playing it safe all the time, you know? Waiting around for my life to happen. Of course that being said, I could still chicken out completely. We'll see :)

Omg! yOu might move there? That's a big jump across the country! But I say do it while you're young. That's what I did in going to Cali a while, and it was one of the best things I ever did in my life. Do it! Find a way to make it happen. Sometimes a kickstart like that will set off all kinds of things in our lives. I still have things (like my job) in my life that I would have never gotten if I hadn't packed up and moved to a new place just because I wanted to.

And welcome back!

Thanks, hun! Yeah, I'm still in the early stages of considering it, but I just love it there so much, and I'm tired of always taking the safe path. Life's too short for regrets, and I have a lot of those. Maybe it's time to do something about it. Thanks for the encouragement!

OMG I'm so happy you had such a fabulous vacation! (And, selfishly happy to have you back!) *squeeze*

Did you take pictures? If so, please share! Your Rent experience does sound like heaven.

Welcome back, sweetie!

I did take pictures... I'll post some as soon as I have time. And it *was* heaven. A real dream come true... I never wanted to leave. The bright spot is being back with you all. *squeezes back*

You know you're a fangirl when all you can think about on the New York subway is Spike breaking off the pole you're holding onto and spinning it around... *g*

Glad to see you back! :) The flist needs to go back as far as you want it to and not stop at 1000. That's just mean.

Thanks, sweetie! I really did have a fabulous time. Why is it that the after-vacation depression has to be compounded by having to go back to work? It's just wrong, I tell you. :)

Good luck with TBFHTWND! I do hope you can get it finished today.
