Armanti is incredible. I don't think I've ever seen a quarterback perform like that ever (it's one of my biggest complaints, that quarterbacks don't seem to run the ball like Theisman did), although to be honest, I never watched college ball before Alex started at App. Can you believe she has not attended a single game? She hates crowds and can't handle the cold, but still, this is once in a lifetime football. I love the school spirit, Chancellor Peacock and his dancing on the sidelines, cheering them on as they take down the goalposts - it makes me wonder if other schools are like this or if App is special in this way. At orientation, you could just feel how much everyone loves the school and how much the faculty loves teaching there. Alex is doing really well, straight A's going into her last couple of exams. She's taking 18 credits next semester, though, so I hope she doesn't overdo it. I can't believe she'll be home on Tuesday for break already.

Forgot to mention that I joined Weight Watchers yesterday and lost two pounds. I'm doing it with phentermine, at least for the first three months and I was thrilled that the pill worked really well the first day (sometimes it doesn't). Now I'm just waiting for my calculater/tracker to come in the mail to make this easier. I'm doing the online version - I don't like to go back out in the evening if I can help it. A friend is supposed to join up the first of the year, and my mom does the meetings, so I should have some support. Plus I have to weigh in at the doctor's each month in order to get more pills, so that should help too. I wish my doctor's office had that new stuff (a shot, I think?) that has little to no side effects and appears to be extremely effective. Hopefully they'll get it before the pill stops working.

I never thought of the term "lose weight" that way! What a great idea, I'll have to adopt it. So far it's going well, I even ate at a Chinese buffet and managed to avoid all the starchy and fried stuff and only go up once. I'm down four and a half pounds so far.
