So, I am actually making writerly progress on both manuscripts I want to publish with the graduate school advisor. The weekend was not a total bust! (Need to also gear back up for actual work this week, but no worries there, as I picked at that here and there. I did also get a fair amount of cleaning and organization and laundry done, so there's

And given that today was a holiday, it was even more pleasant. (Labor Day holiday in the US - which is amusing as it seems my country is secretly dedicated to running the middle class into oblivion and worse, but that's a rant for a different day.)

Given those stark choices, I suppose I'd have to pick the latter. Of course, I find the notion of not being able to engage the world at a more than fleeting superficial level disappointing, but I just don't have it in me to be completely antisocial.

Of course, if there could be hookers and blow (see icon!), I might go with being Nobel-caliber and alone. ;)
