However, you can preserve my newfound fanaticism for The Vampire Diaries. Especially Nina Dobrev, Kat Graham, and Candice Accola

Various people have told me that The Vampire Diaries is worthy of my time... I seem to recall that you have a particularly finely tuned sense of the aesthetic for this stuff, so am very much considering this another vote in the 'plus' column for the show.

What I found - which corresponded with the opinion of others I know who like the show - is that you need to get past the first three or so episodes. If you haven't resolved to give the first season a try by episode 8 or so, I'd give up.

But there is an undeniably appealing aesthetic about the show, I must admit. ;)
