After two and a half hours at the DMV and 130 dollars later, my car is now registered in CA and I have a CA driver's license.

I hate people.

I'm back in MA for two days before flying (again) to CA. But my trip to Scotland was great! It's so beautiful up there, especially in the highlands and out on the island of Islay where we were for a few days. The Fringe festival in Edinburgh was pretty awesome too. I'm in California!

After 12 hours of driving yesterday... I made it.

I always knew I was a little bit of a pack rat, but this is just ridiculous. I've thrown out two garbage bags full of paper (there's no paper recycling anywhere close), and I'm working on the third. This morning on my drive to work either a bird or a rock hit my windshield. Now there's a circular crack with bigger circles surrounding it. But let me tell you, it was scary! Yesterday I took the national exam. I don't really have any idea how I did on it, but that's not unusual for me. I'm waiting to hear back about internships, but please don't ask about it. It's amazing how long it takes me to "settle in" to a place. On Wednesday I finally got a library card. Now you might think the reason I hadn't done this before is because I had access to my school library, but that's not the case. Pumpkin is back but she has one of those cones around her neck to keep her from getting at her stitches. The thing is, she has no idea what is going on. She keeps trying to use her paw to put the elastic in her mouth but is blocked by the cone. And she keeps smacking the cone into things she's trying to walk past. I feel bad but it's hilarious.
