Yeah. So. Went to the emergency room last night (in an ambulance, a first for me). To make a long story shorter, I keep "throwing PVCs". Premature Ventricular Contractions. Which unto themselves aren't so bad (like, you don't want to do that, you should get it checked out, but it's not super threatening), but I'm feeling them, so that's sorta ( Read more... )

Hey - I have PVCs - and it freaked me out to the point of going to the emergency room the other week ... the doctors in my health center listened to my chest and said "never heard that before."

I've had them since I was 16, and every once in a while, they get so out of wack I think I'm done! Yet I've been to a Cardiologist when I was 16 (nothing) and the emergency room people told me nothing! I hope yours are nothing as well, but if you are freaking out even after you're told that they're nothing, I completely understand.

Well, I did go to a cardiologist (who's also a general practitioner) two days later, and between him and the people at the ER, I know that they're not exactly dangerous. However, yeah, I don't really like getting them. Eventually, my doctor wants to try to stop them, we're just not rushing. You can see more about what he said on Saturday on my myspace. Today I had an echo and EKG, and my parents had appointments w/the same doctor this afternoon. He told them that there is something that showed up (though he didn't say what), but he knows how worked up I am about school (I've been missing a LOT of time), so he wants to wait until I finish classes to get further into, plus I have to get bloodlabs run this week. So, of course, now I really wanna know what he found.
