I really love the fourth one and the fifth one. The horribly human side of a woman who should have lost all humanity. It's really strong.

The line about her being unable to cry was really sad. I love it.

(No, she's not, but a lot of the marvel characters shouldn't be. Star really isn't. He's a pyshcotic with a sense of honour and little idea of morality. Aw.... it's inherited.))

I really like these. Why is it only the villains seem to give a damn about their kids? The heroes just assume the kids will end up fine, while the villains say, "let us put this in a place of honor!" (Love that line.) You do a good job of portraying Spiral's multiple, mutually-contradictory lives.

((Thank you ^_^. It really means a lot coming from such a wonderful writer (I bow before your greatness!). Spiral by her very nature is a contradiction and I really wanted to show that.
I totally agree! Especially with characters like poor Raven and Tom, they so clearly care and love their children. And their suppose to be the bad guys... scary.))

Just re read and have to say, I think the closing lines are the best lines of all. Where could be more appropriate for the family reunion from hell than a mental institution?
