i know this isn't the most comfortable thing, but you gain everything from experience, and through this i am sure you obtain a greater appreciation for odie, and at least you're not surprised, make the most of his life. (side note: i was just listening to that song.)

You're right. But isn't it horrible that it takes me facing his death for me to really dote on him? He's a good dog and I have just sort of taken his presence for granted. Maybe this will help me appreciate other things more, but it seems disgusting to me that this is what it takes to open my eyes.

I'm just frustrated but I know you understand.

I had a golden retriever from the year I was born until I was 15 when we had to put her down...its one of the hardest things you'll ever have to do. :( I'm sorry I don't have comforting words to say other than that I know what you mean...

we hada black lab we had to put down cause of cancer like, when i was really little, butt yeah, i still remember it. and then out other dog was really really old, and we didnt want to find her dead one day, so they decied to put her down. it sucks. = /

I love you babe. I'm so sorry, some things in life just aren't fair. I loved that puppy too, I was always jealous you had such a cool dog and I was stuck with that thing that got people sick and made our house smell horrible. I hope you feel much much better, you don't desearve to be sad.

I'm really sorry to hear about this.
Stuff like this makes me wish I wasn't such an idealist.... I wish everyone could be happy and things like this never happened...
