I had a stupid-moment this Saturday. Not that unusual, I get those from time to time. The difference with this one is that normally it doesn't lead to serious injury and normally it's not the sort of thing I end up having to tell everyone about. My brother put together a Lord of the Rings extended edition marathon at my house today:

At the end of Fellowship, as one guy made a hasty break for the bathroom, he explained, "I've had to go since the Mines of Moria!"

Overheard as I walked into our kitchen, "Gargling the Blue Danube has no nutritional value."

Since my family is switching insurance plans at the end of the year, it ended up that I needed to switch allergists too. In fact, I just got back from my appointment with my new allergist doctor. He tweaked my medications slightly, but the biggest coolest awesomest thing is that he & I have decided that I don't need to get allergy shots anymore ( Read more... )

The fishums have all settled in ok. Jelly Bean is wriggling with joy when he sees me, Buttercup is cruising along the bottom of the tank at night, and the minnows are... well, pretty much just being fat little fish. Ok, so I had an evil evil midterm in my Business Law class: short answer IDs and multiple short essays, with one page of notes to help us out. Due to some unusual circumstances, I got a 66/100, but then everyone got 30 extra credit points so it was recorded as being 96/100. I personally think I deserved more like 76/100.
