We had a packed house today. It added up to 13 people total: me, my parents, my four siblings, three of our relatives, a father/daughter family from our church, and a Chinese student from St. Martins. Quick general update: Last night I went to the Olympia swing dance & had a lot of fun. My brother Phillip & I went together, and we met up with Paleojen & a few other friends of ours there. It was a blast, and afterwards Phillip & I stopped off at Albertsons to get day-old donuts to munch at home (our Olympia tradition, like Flix in Pullman). ( Read more... )

I got the 3rd turkey ready for the oven all by myself! I got to rinse it and take out all the inside bits (it had the giblets jammed in the neck cavity and the neck jammed in the body cavity, which is highly illogical if you ask me) and rub it with butter/salt/seasonings and tuck some vegetables inside and put it in the oven and evwything :) It ( Read more... )

Hee hee hee! I've been having fun with our turkeys today. Normally we get a ginormous turkey & cook it for approximately 23-27 hours on Thanksgiving day itself (which makes dinner reallllly late), but this year we're trying a new trick that my Mom heard about. I got my betta now!!! I let my youngest sister help name him, so his name is Jelly Belly Bean. I call him Jelly Bean, and she calls him Jelly Belly, so we're both happy. He is a crown-tail. I got a "top ten" high score on an Orisinal game! Yippee!!!!

Tests, tests, lovely tests. I have two this week and one next week. I'm not really concerned about either of the ones this week, they should be pretty easy. Stats, which for me is mostly review from the Stats class I did last spring, and World Music, which is an awesomely cool class and fun to study for. Accounting test is next week.
