 Yesterday, Jn and i took off on our own and taxied down to Gulou for happy-hour at a roof-top bar called the Bell and Drum... or perhaps it's the Drum and Bell. Either way, it is approximately equidistant from both the drum tower and the bell tower.

Today i was woken at the unholy hour of 9(ish) by the grating whine of Beijing Opera. Really, it's quite beautiful, however, not on a Saturday morning. Acoustics fantabulation meant that i couldn't actually tell where the noise was coming from, in my semi-comatose state. Were Jn and Jna blasting themselves in bed? There are a number of options for me here, with regard to work, already. I have the bar gig open to me. The idea is that i will manage and run the place, working every evening. The owner will give me the capital i need to renovate the place and try to improve the business. I will take 20% of the profits. Which is really quite generous. This, at ( Read more... )

Sculpting a love in my mind. A futile endevour at present and one that tugs at the fibres of my being. Dragging the miles back home. But I have no home, now. Only a couple of couches and a bed or two around the world where I sometimes sleep.
