I'm very glad you came along after all, am very glad you had a good time and am very much looking forward to finally playing _alongside_ you at Insurreection.
It's a very different game from any other I've played. I've always said that Maelstrom is LRP for grown ups, but Insurrection is more erudite still, and I have to love a game that gives me such reason to think really hard about modern day politics. Every PC wants to 'Smash the State!', but not so far as it would damage their personal interest... It's very interesting to be playing the 'bad guys' who want to break the status quo rather than maintain it.
Speaking as the person who got the returned ticket and was magically able to go to the ball after all, your efforts to ensure I still got there are massively appreciated. Wilderhope was as beautiful as ever, and less full of ghosts than I'd anticipated - probably in part because of the number of interesting things to keep me occupied. If it was your character's swansong, it was a magnificent one.
I've always found interacting with Kass to be excellent value. I think the first time we interacted was when Ricardo pretty much bullied you into eating a raspberry filled pancake, but it was indeed entertaining to chat without food or threat being a particular issue.
Many thanks indeed for prepping the seating plan! Several people have mentioned that aspect of the event as being an especial highlight.
We tried hard to make sure there were always at least two activities to choose from, so I'm glad you had more fun than you feared. I have no idea what guide you adopted for the Ball, so top marks for changing outfit and stance so very thoroughly!
I had hoped Carlito might find his way Below Stairs to discover the real Flambard, but if ever he did then it must have been while I was busy working.
I'm not actually certain how 'good' a time I had. I certainly took an enormous measure of satisfaction (both IC and OOC) in the success of the event, but I don't think I had a great deal of 'fun'. Mind you, Ricardo has a stick up his arse when he's on duty and 'fun' was never on his agenda.
There were undeniably enjoyable moments, mind. Playing music alongside Jen and JK with the _best_ view of the dancing is one example. Witnessing the cake competition judges smashed off their faces was another...

I've said thanks already but I'll say them again.
