sorry for the silence. i'm still here on the edge of bonneville, doing a lot of rock analysis. drilled a 8 millimeter deep hole, which was kind of fun. (that's about a third of an inch, but i'd just as rather keep everything in metric. i'm pretty sure i speak for all us mars probes on that subject ( Read more... )

Every time you say you're in Bonneville, I think you're in a small town in Northern Alberta. This confuses me. Although I suppose you'd be able to find some interesting things there, too. *grin*

Hm, for me, when you mention the Columbia Hills, I think of the mountains in Colombia here on earth, which are beautiful. Mars is beautiful, too, dust and all. Thank you for showing it to us.

We know that you're on the ball, even if NASA gets all bent out of shape over details. It's 'cause they really care about you, though.

I think your new avatar is more than cute. If I were in charge I would have had a hard time pushing the launch button to send you off. mm-mm, saucy.

Grrreetings from Earth. ^.U.^ Yeah, I understand how frustrating it can be to negotiate hill-country, having grown up in the vicinity of Yosemite. Still, I rather like it better than the flatlands, myself. More interesting scenery, in my opinion. And I'm sure you can do it, despite the rough terrain (or is "Mars-scape" the correct term??).

Great new icon(s) by the way. :) And keep up with the poetry! ^.U.^

Happy travels,

Feh, who'd want to be on a flat sandy plain, Borrringggg!!

Now me, I like a cute, sexy, hard-working, hill-climbing, rock-grinding Grrl !

I know the NASA folk can be a pain, but then parents are like that. Because they care, and you're their baby... [in a figrative sense].

Keep on climbing girl, you're doing us proud!
