In the past week, we experienced both tornadoes and snow ... sheesh...

Old Lady #1: "They say there are still bloodstains on the organ keys..."
Old Lady #2: "That's right; they've never been able to get them off."
Old Lady #3: "And they used Bon-Ami."

Tomorrow I will (along with several other folks from Central United Methodist) be singing the national anthem at the UNCC 49ers basketball game.

This is by no means my first time performing the national anthem at a sporting event, but it does hold some distinctions:

1. First time not playing the drums
2. First time singing (see #1)

Just saw the Guardian of Forever on Star Trek: City on the Edge of Forever. I thought, "that takes me back."

Then, I realize didn't know what it took me back to.

I thought of a Star Trek novel I read in middle school, with some alien race called the "Sackers" in it. A Google search took 0.88 seconds to reveal that the novel was called "The Three- ( Read more... )

Tomorrow is my last official day at Olympic High School. A couple months back I accepted a position at Northwest School of the Arts. My excitement at starting something new is amplified by the fact that my bestie, Suzanne Newsom, is transferring to the same school!

I found out today that Daddy is going to CCC with us! We went from being down three people last week to Christy asking today if we could add a spot. Taylor said yes!
