Here Summary: Sam and Dean is to close to each other and then not see what taking place, so Bobby have to talk with them.
Bobby had come to get used to have the boys living at his place. He really liked it even if he often probably not showed it to any of them, but their relationship had never been a bed of roses. It was different to wake up in the house, not only the ordinary sounds were there. Often he heard Sam trying to get around, but as the kid yet had to learn to get around things he constantly run in on things. If it was in the night the kid seem to wake up crying or screaming.
Then there was Dean. It was only him that could see how that boy looked worse and worse. Probably good that Sam couldn't see it, and Dean was good to not let his voice to give it away. He did know that Sam could most likely count it out, as closer to the year was out for his big brother.
Since the day they had arrived after Sam been out from the hospital they had come to a routine. Bobby tried to let the boys to be alone most of the time, as he wanted to believe they both needed it in their own way. A few of the times he had seen Dean rush away, working on the Impala or any other car. Other times he only heard the music Dean played in a deafening volume.
First when that had happened he had went to look at Sam. Sam had been pissed at times, but been more levelled than Dean had seemed. Then there were times Bobby had come up to Sam who hadn't reacted first of his approach when they boy had the radio on.
When things had repeated a few times Bobby had put things together. Sam had put the radio on just to make sounds to disappear and show that he did some time away from any. To get time to think without them disturbing him. Bobby had no problem with it, not as Dean seemed to have it.
Watching the boys he know that Sam would never directly tell Dean of his need, and Dean would probably not get it in time. He took it upon himself and told Dean even if he might didn't want to leave Sam any of his last day's, he had too let Sam have the time of silence.
He also tried to get through to Sam how it probably felt for Dean. To his relief both seemed to try to work through it.

Masterpost:
Here Summary: Times Bobby questioned why he let him get persuade to have Sam Winchester living with him.
The weather was one that was perfect to make research and not put the nose outside the door. It had rained to and from since last night. Bobby had woken up several times when it started and wished that he hadn't fixed parts of the roof with sheet metal. Then he knows that he also started to sleep lighter since he had Sam Winchester living there.
If Sam hadn't become blind he probably would have continued with his old way, but there where things he had to change and think of now. He did like to have the company most of the time and they seemed to work good together.
After deciding to get up for the day Bobby had went to the boy's room, seeing him still asleep he let him. Other similar nights Sam had slept badly, so Bobby had no heart to wake him. During making the breakfast he got a phone call. The caller needed some information that he knew he had in some books in the basement, so he promised to call back later.
Cleaning up after his breakfast he went down for search. When he was there he took the chance to do some of the research he had already decided to do, so the time went.
At one time he stopped. He walked outside the panic room and listen. The rain seemed to continue and it was silent for the rest of the house. He made a quick look at his watch and got little worried. Sam should be awake by now, he never slept this long even if he had a bad night.
When he couldn't hear anything Bobby decided to check on the boy again. Opening the door from the basement told him that something was wrong. The air was damp, and the temperature was chillier. Walking out in the hall he was met with an open front door.
Walking out on his porch quickly told him the reason to the silent house and opened door. In the yard Sam was dancing around with a lifted face for the rain. For a moment he just looked at the boy, which seemed to thrive in the moment. Next he did worry for him. Bobby couldn't see he had his cane with him and then he also guess that the boy wouldn't think of were the direction would be when he stopped.
Bobby considered to getting out in the rain to catch the boy, but he did stopped twisting around. Only as Bobby suspected it wasn't to any direction that would keep him from harming himself.
"Sam what are you doing outside in the rain?" Bobby asked.
He could see how Sam turned towards him and then walking to the porch. The boy hadn't got any jacket on and he was soaked.
"It's best you hurry up and change clothes so you don't get a cold." He continued as Sam reached the stair.
"Yes, Dad."
Bobby smiled. Sam had started to call him dad those times he thought Bobby was overprotecting of him. Knowing that he would keep doing it just because he did care Bobby didn't let it get him. If Sam did catch a cold it might make him to pity the guy more, as he would not be unaffected from any wining.
Closing the door after them Bobby told Sam that he could get back down and get some hot coffee when he was finished. With that he went to the kitchen to put some fresh on.

(before; Back To A Normal Life)
Summary: Sam learns that not everything has changed.
When everything had sink in, that he would never be able to see again, and also calmed down Sam had thought a lot of other things would change as well. So the first night he dreamt he felt very confused. He had dreamt in pictures, like he was seeing normal. He soon learned that if he once seen things, he had those image. He knew the colours, shapes, how it looked like. That settled him a lot.
What he didn't like was the nightmares. Those he had liked to have been held in the dark, but they were as good as the others. All they did was that waking up after one it took longer for him to remember that he could not see. Not doing so made him often feel disoriented before he felt were he had things. All he could do was to wish was that the nightmares would disappear more and more.
