Bingo Boost!

Let's touch base on our Team Bingo challenge!

  • Anyone want to chat here about how your idea for filling a square is coming along? (or... isn't?)
  • Need a cheerleader?
  • Or maybe a beta? (We have volunteers!)
  • Or do you have some questions about our spn_littlebro team bingo?
You've come to the right place! Just comment here. We've got our pom poms in hand, and we're ready to help any way we can!

Here's the current status on our bingo card! Prompts in red have fills so far. The red asterisk means someone has pledged that square and hasn't posted the fill yet. (Remember: we can have LOTS of people complete the same square. The more the merrier! We would love to achieve one bingo, but why stop there? Let's try for several, or fill the whole card! EVERY fill gets pimped in the spn_littlebro newsletter!)

Click the gleeful!Dean banner above to go to the original post if you want to see the FAQ there. But here are some quick reminders from that team bingo post.

  • Creations are due by Tues October 15th. (It was planned to coincide with the new season, but we aren't moving our deadline just because the CW moved the new episode to October 8th.)
  • You can sign up for a square by going here. Read the sample, snag an icon (if you want), and click the [reply] link right under those icons. Whether you signed up ahead of time or not, you can still complete a square. Just go here, read the samples, and click the [reply] link under 'example 5'.
  • You can even pick any prompt from this list and use it for the Wild Card square. (Even if someone else already did. We want MORE hurt!Sam and hurt!Jared, and we want to advertise every bingo fill!)
  • Speaking of which... we'll highlight your completed work in the spn_littlebro monthly newsletter issue that comes out after you reply to the "I Completed a Square" comment with the details. (The next issue will probably be posted around August 21, just FYI. In case you're close to finishing one!)
  • Dealing with demons, attacked by a creature, and scars are all still available! Aren't you guys watching the same show we are? ;D

New FAQ

Q. Can I 'double dip' and use the same story for a personal bingo card, as well as for a square on our team bingo card?
A. Yes! For example, if you've got planetary destruction on your individual card and sexual extortion on the spn_littlebro team card and one story prominently features the prompt from each card, we'll take it! Likewise, if you had forced soulbonding on your own card and our team card, you can use the same creation for both!

Q. What if I already posted my creation and only now realize that it would complete a square?
A. If you posted it after July 12 (when we went live), then yes. As long as you update your posted work to identify the square for our team bingo challenge, and then reply to the 'I completed a square' comment (link is above), we'll take it!

Q. How literally do I have to take that prompt?
A. Be imaginative! For example, say the square was self-harm. (Which isn't on our team card but is on harrigan's individual card, so she's given this one some thought!) You could use it with the usual interpretation. Or you could make a set of GIFs where Sam is digging into the scar in his hand to stop the hellucinations. Or you could write a hurt!Jared story where he's wounded and captured, and intentionally aggravates the wound to make it bleed to make the ropes slippery so he can escape.... Go wild with it!

Q. What happens when as a team we *do* achieve a bingo?
A. Besides the hootin' and hollerin' and fist bumps? We'll plan a celebration (and possibly rewards?) when the challenge ends in October.
