Summary: Castiel didn’t die. Instead, the Leviathans stashed him away until they had a use for him. Castiel is brought back to Dean by angels and he doesn’t know how to react. Dean knows that something bad happened to Castiel while he was away, but Castiel won’t tell anyone. Dean has to figure it out so he can help a friend that he wasn’t there for before and also find a way to stop the Leviathans. Especially with Castiel’s return comes the reveal of the Leviathan’s plan.

This sounds like a perfect mix of all the things I loathe in D/C: uber special woobie!Cas and repentant!Dean who feels bad that he didn't ~appreciate Cas enough before. Yeah, this is a definite pass. Shame, I could use some new good D/C.

I feel like each D/C fic post should come with a Sam Report of some sort. When he doesn't show up in the summaries I become wary.

Summary: Two years after Sam Winchester goes to Hell, with the world once again hanging in balance and Castiel hating himself for the decisions he’s been forced into making, Dean Winchester agrees to loan out his soul to power up one of Heaven’s weapons. It’s an alright plan except for the fact that, with Dean’s soul out of the picture - and with Castiel exhausted from the war, and overwhelmed by the pressure of never once letting himself be anything but the perfect little solider - Dean and Castiel seem to be heading towards something that Castiel’s not sure either of them can come back from.

ignore the anonfail behind the curtain...

So, I just read this, and I'm not entirely sure what to say about it.

First off, it wasn't bad. The writing was good, SPaG was fine, and all of that. I think that my main issue was that the summary really left me expecting something different from what the fic actually was

This fic wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I had hoped. It was 15k of rough sex, which isn't a BAD thing (the author is talented) but I hope hoping for some exploration of soulless!Dean outside of the bedroom. I'm also not a fan of sub!Cas at all, so this just wasn't my thing.

If you like bottom!sub!Cas and long sex fics, this fic might hit some of your buttons. Otherwise? I'd skip it.

There is not nearly enough rough sex D/C with bottom!Dean right now. D: Sub!Cas just makes it worse.

At least those who are fans of that sort of thing get something fun to read?

On the one hand YAY long Jeff/Jensen fic, on the other it's hemrage, and I remember not liking the long mpreg J2 fic she did. Hoping for a MALP nonnie on this one.

I can't decide if that summary is annoying or endearing. I'm leaning towards the latter, but I think that's just because I recognize the author and remember them being not terrible.

Aw. Sometimes I forget to look at what the medium is. The art is really cute, but I was excited to read the fic... except there isn't one.
