Very interesting. Castiel reminds me of some of the animation from Miyazaki's films - No-Face, in particular, from Spirited Away.

I do like the idea of playing up Castiel's non-humanness. (Also, now I'm thinking about Castiel having a hard time retaining his Jimmy-form in purgatory and reverting to his true form, which then reminds me of Angel's experiences in Pylea. Except Angel in Pylea just made me giggle, whereas I find nonhuman!Castiel in Purgatory a lot more compelling.)

In short: I like. :)

I actually was thinking about the Purgatory thing: that maybe Jimmy is a separate entity from Cas, and he and Castiel got split apart in Purgatory. So Dean and trueform!Castiel wandered around Purgatory, while Jimmy was lost somewhere else. Dean and Castiel eventually made it out; Jimmy didn't.

(I thought about writing this for my DCBB, but it didn't pan out).

I've always had a bit of a strange relationship with "BNF"s in the SPN, in that I seem to always be several years behind in discovering that they even exist. I think I found fleshflutter some time in season 4, and LL a year after that.

She's not a BNF, but I am just taking this moment to thank Steve/Tony fandom for directing me to arysteia, who seems to be one of those beneath-the-radar but consistently-good multi-fandom authors. (She also writes Clark/Lex and Clark/Bruce and some trekfic which I don't care about.)

So yay! I was just thinking LAST NIGHT how I wanted to discover a new SPN author to love (even if arysteia seems to have moved on, I have two BBs to enjoy. <3 ( ... )

(Bonus question: did you know there was an option to make things 'restricted' on AO3? It seems kind of like friends-lock, wherein you can only see certain fics if you're logged in, but I can't find any info on it.)

Yes. I put a lot of my fics under it, because I don't like them showing up in google search results. It just means that someone has to be logged into their AO3 account to see them. There's no age restriction or anything. What info are you wanting?
