Hi, I'm poisontaster. I'd like to extend a huge thanks to ash48 and lazy_daze for inviting me and for their remarkable patience with me; it's a real honor to be included with so many other really great authors

There's something about the Spn fandom. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is but once you're in you're hooked. I've written in many others over the years but there's always been that point where the inspiration has dried up or I've felt there was nothing more left to say. This should have happened with Supernatural by now but it hasn't.
RPF is probably the greatest draw for me. Prior to becoming part of the Spn fandom I'd dabbled in it once, now I love it. You can take a huge hunk of credit for that. You never fail to inspire me to try something new, to world build and to take a risk. You make me want to push myself into not cutting corners and I find your unfailing honesty incredibly refreshing and I thank you for it.
My question for you is where do you see yourself going next? Is there something simmering in that amazing story brain of yours that you've always wanted to write?
I can't put my finger on exactly what it is but once you're in you're hookedYou speak exactly the truth. And I don't think I'll ever be entirely un-hooked

You mean, like, if I had to pick JUST ONE of those universes? *squeaks* Just one?? Um. Okay, I'm going to cheat JUST A LITTLE and say, if it were an SPN universe, I'd probably pick Heart 'verse. I feel like there's so many stories there that I want to tell and just never got around to. There's definitely one big story (that I mention in my answer to trishabooms) that I still very much want to write in that 'verse. And though I think it's drifted massively (obviously) away from canon, it's still a happy place for me, to think & dream that world might exist in some Supernatural multi-verse.
For RPF, the answer is obvious: A Kept Boy. Like Heart 'verse, I just feel like I still have so much more I want to say and show and do; so many stories and tidbits about the characters are still so very present in my head on a semi-daily basis, and I still have that thing we all do, where all these random things in our real lives (a picture, a song, a couple on the street) seem to relate back

quietdiscerning keeps making me read old chat transcripts between us where I swear, completely sincerely and most vehemently that I would NEVER, EVER EVER write mpreg...and then there is much facepalming. Needless to say, I've stopped declaring what I will or won't write, because something in my brain always seems to take it as a throw down challenge.
Thank you! I had so much fun and pleasure writing both those stories. Hell, all of them. Even when I'm tearing my hair out and wailing that I can't make this story work, it's still the most fun I'm ever having.
I love how you characterize SPN as your one true fandom - it's true for me as well. Can you say more about what made the Show itself so perfect, in addition to the perfect storm confluence of show, fandom and your own life? I'm forever trying to dissect what made it and continues to make it so powerful for me. LOVE your writing!
Well, it started for me with the actors. I'd loved Jensen in Dark Angel and I'd subsequently followed him to Dawson's Creek and then Smallville; I'd adored Jared in Gilmore Girls and was overjoyed at the prospect of seeing him co-headline a show. The fact that he'd be doing so with Jensen was just....amazing! I was over the moon excited

Thanks so much for sharing this - alot of what you said here makes me realize there are things that I relate to personally as well, that I'd never explicitly articulated (or perhaps consciously realized). No wonder once you're hooked, you're hooked! And yes, I was still flopping around on my couch making dolphin noises too :)
I first watched Supernatural because of 'A Kept Boy'. I'd never seen the programme as it's never easy to find on British TV, but I'd read the synopsis of AKB, and discounted it because it was a wip and in a fandom I knew nothing about, then finally, one day I had nothing to read and someone I knew recced it so I gave it a go. I loved it, and followed it as a wip, then I read everything at WhatWeKeep. I had no idea who Jeffrey Dean Morgan was or Jensen Ackles, nevermind that Jared Pada-something guy, in fact I initially read it as original fiction. I waited for updates and then I looked for other fiction in the fandom, but I didn't understand the characters or know the stories so I bought the first season on DVD and was totally hooked. I've read a lot of fanfic since then, both based on the characters and the actors and that, dear lady, is down to you. AKB remains one of my favourite stories and I have a passion for Supernatural, so I wanted to take this chance to say thank you for bringing AKB and Supernatural into my life xxx
I don't know how to say this as gracefully or graciously as I would like to, but that really means a lot. That you would give the story a try, that it helped interest you in Supernatural... I don't think I could ever think of or ask for a better result to something I've written, you know? So, thank you! ♥

Of the Spn stories the reframe of S1 sounds fascinating.
I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Tough question time. If you had to revisit one of the 'verses you mentioned above, which would you pick and why?
