Haha, yes, and I still have the "OH SNAP!" summaries bookmarked from when the Carpet Book was released:

That was made of so much win.

(and I might have made an icon out of that poster's "OH SNAP!" picture.....)

I tell you, having this community in my flist paid of in dividends when I was in line at my local Borders last year. Guy behind me kept boasting he 'knew the dirt' on DH and hinted at special sekret knowledge of major plot points, so I asked him to name several characters who kick the bucket early on. He got Moody right but it was a crapshoot from there on out and so I told him Hedwig gets killed right away. He scoffed and accused me of pulling shit out of my ass. I just said 'you'll find out in an hour or so'.

hee hee hee!

Sweet revenge. While my daughter and I were posing with our new copy for pix, I saw the guy flip through his copy and his eyes widened. He now knew Snape was also Dumbledore's man and not Voldy's, among other juicy details.

I miss all the pre-book drama too. :( Who else had a similar experience with uninformed 'informants'?
