Right people, I very rarely attempt to persuade anybody that they ought to get involved in political or charitable causes because I know how much I detest being pestered by others. On this one like locusts - hungry, hungry locusts.

Of course my local MP tends to be on the side of truth and justice in most things[1] but I might have to resort to sending inflatable penguins to ministers home addresses again if they continue to try and pass an enabling Act via the back door.[2]

"My faith in the democratic process is at stake here and I'd appreciate it if you could let me know your thoughts and if there is anything I can do as an individual to persuade the government that I will be less than impressed if it becomes law."

[1] as long as they toe the Lib Dem Line
[2] See, I managed not to mention the 3rd Reich right until the end, and even then in the footnotes

Things like this concern me with the current government. They seem to have a unhealthy interest in keeping tabs on us all. I will write to my MP.
