This was brilliant! I love your characterization of the Zabinis. Blaise's going from not recognizing Dean from school to having his mom donate money to start a team of the St. Mungo's kids was an excellent transformation. You did a beautiful job of showing how Blaise was changing.

I also loved Dean's reactions--that he was willing for a new beginning and a new friendship but that the past was unforgivable. Excellent work! :)

Oh, cheers - like I said above, I was worried it was too fast, so hooray!

And oh, poor Dean. I was a bit worried because it's strictly from Blaise's POV, but I'm glad it looks Dean's own conflicts were also clear.

Such an interesting idea to make these two cousins. The emotional dynamics in this were riveting -- I was glued to my screen. :-)

This was beautiful. I'm not much into either character usually, but I admit the mention of football made me click on the link. Football can be like that. ;)

I really liked the characterization of Dean in particular, the way he is so calm and enduring, but you can see he has very strong and passionate opinions on all the relevant things, and he knows there are limits as to how he can handle those. It's a very nuanced piece, and very thoughtful. Plus, football! I enjoyed it a lot.

Hooray for football! It brings in readers and not just odd characters. :) I've never concentrated on either character myself, so I'm glad it worked.

And yeah, that was very important to me in Dean here - the way he takes care not to dwell on things too much, because he might not be able to take it otherwise. Glad you enjoyed it (and the football!)

Heartwrenching but memorable, I appreciated the humor.
