A spontaneous conga line doesn't really bother me so much, but I would probably laugh if someone asked me to do the electric slide or the macarena at a wedding. And since my fiancee has already vetoed anything of the sort at our wedding (there will also be no Kool and the Gang), I guess we won't be having it. I think it depends largely on the crowd you're entertaining and how comfortable you think they'd be with such things. But honestly, I doubt anyone would miss it.
As a woman who was a wedding planner and wedding Dj for over 10 years and who's family still owns one of the biggest event DJ companies in Dallas here's my official stance

Thanks for the advice. I'm torn on the subject because it's not something I usually participate in but I think other people have grown to expect them...my fear is that if I have it i have to participate in it! LOL
I always do the goofy dances, and anyone who isn't "too cool for school" (ie. LAME) should be up for doing them too. It's a WEDDING, a family event with grandparents and kids, not a club, you are supposed to be able to act goofy.
However, I am not a big fan, and I wouldn't miss them at a wedding at all.
