Alright, so I've seen a ton of interesting people around here and that got me thinking. . .

What kinds of foods did you all use to eat back home? What were your favorite dishes? And have you managed to find the ingredients here to make them?

Yeah? What is it exactly?

... I guess the closest approximation would be "fuel". And "alcohol".

Alcohol? Like wine or beer?

There was this meat pastry that the street vendors would sell -- it had ground up lamb, usually, onions, peppers... some other stuff.

It was pretty good.

That does sound good, although I've never had lamb before. Do you know how to make it?

I could probably figure it out.

That's good. I think it's nice how food can remind people of home and bring back memories. I hope you can find all the ingredients you need to replicate the dish.

I am a chef, so there are a great many foods I enjoy.

Really? What kind of chef are you?

French cuisine is my specialty!

French food, huh? Have you cooked snails before then?

Russia likes many types of food! Cannot make them all here - ingredients are made by enslaved hands of workers under Capitalism and do not taste as good. Borscht, blini, okroshka--...

now Russia is hungry.

Er, enslaved hands?

And that's too bad. What do you eat here then?

Some comrade is always making food! Perhaps is little Finland or Anya or Big Sister, but Russia always finds something.

[Disclaimer: Russia will eat literally anything if it sits still long enough.]

How...resourceful! It's nice that you have friends that don't mind sharing with you.

My sister never gave me the recipe for cake.

spunky_explorer April 5 2010, 06:42:23 UTC
Oh? Was it a particular cake or cake in general?

hasspecialneeds April 5 2010, 06:43:42 UTC
It was different from other cake. Better.

Do you remember what it tasted like? Chocolate? Vanilla?
