"What good would flying be if you couldn't feel the wind?" a child asks an angel in City of Angels.

I was reminded of this while reading an excerpt from Lit from Within, where Victoria Moran says that we each have the perfect body because that body is the form our soul chose as its outward form of expression.

City of Angels is one of my favorite movies of all time.

thank you for this post. i need to get to this place instead of perceiving my body more as a machine that i use.

It's probably okay to think of your body as a vehicle or a machine, as long as you remember that that machine deserves nurturing and maintenance and gentleness.

And hugs!

*blush* You're sweet.

I was thinking of you last night. I saw part of a bank sign, partially obscured so that it looked like "WORLD SAVING." Jon said it must be a superhero franchise, and we started to think about the people who would work for World Saving, Inc. You, Mo, Camfield, others...

These thoughts always make me question what the heck I'm doing with my life. But then I thought, gee, if I cook for, lodge, hug, amuse, encourage, make small loans to, nurture, and generally help the people who are saving the world, then maybe I am making a worthwhile contribution, too. We all do our small parts, eh?

I'm grateful that my body has a brain that tells it to ride on the inside of the aircraft, where it cannot feel the wind. But that's prolly not the answer you were looking for.

So I'll say that this body lets me paddle and portage, and I can still run like the wind when the whim takes me.

The frisbee is never out of reach. It is merely farther away.

Robin's in the metaphysical section
She's got "Living with the Dreaming Body"
She's sprawled out along the carpet floor
She says my work is like eating cold oatmeal
yesterday's oatmeal, day after day
She says my work is like eating cold oatmeal
day after day, and she's right.
