Indian Fair!
Tomorrow in Austin is the Mela fair and open house at our local Hindu temple, Barsana Dham. memeatron and I plan to go.
Good food, lots of music and dancing, colorful clothing, elephants!, and did I mention food? Last year there were tigers, too. Tigers!
And an excuse to wear my salwar kameez.
Aren't you intrigued? Tigers!! You should go. -
Grain salad
I made the following for a picnic lunch on Saturday. Yummy, portable, and relatively non-perishable. ^_^
The day before, cook up a batch of qinoa (or couscous); takes about 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and mix in the following:- salt

My parents are visiting, and Dad mentioned a wish to get a fancy knife. He likes pen knives and the like. Where would be a great place around Austin to look at nifty Texan knives?
