Really productive exploration of the symbolic function of colour here, squarebluefish. Your word-play on 'dye-ing' and dying is simultaneously amusing and ominous, and creates a powerful sense of the absurd and ephemeral nature of 'beauty routines' when they are set against the weight of issues like mortal illness and death. However, as you show, it is such routines that we cling to, to maintain our sense of personal identity, when confronted by the burdens of life etc.

I loved it! It was different and very unique! Nice choice of descriptive words; it makes you understand the real meaning behind it. "Colour Me Happy - I don't need irony from my shampoo"< Very clever! =)
